News and Events
Villages of South Main files for Design Review Board Hearing
The Villages of South Main is requesting approval to proceed with construction of the 27 remaining townhomes. The project is located on the east side of South Main Street south of downtown. Click here for more information. 

Davidson Day School Plans Expansion          
Davidson Day School has submitted an application to expand the existing school facility at 750 Jetton Street. The two proposed additions consist of  11,446 square feet and will provide space for classrooms and theater, music and sports programs. The project requires several reviews, including a traffic impact analysis and site and construction approvals by the town and Mecklenburg County. Click here for more information.            
                       
Apartments by Developer Lat Purser Proposed on Jetton St.          
Lat Purser & Associates submitted a master plan application for apartments at the Little Gate property on Jetton St. The proposal is for a 4-story building with commercial space fronting Jetton Street. The development site is located along the west side of Jetton Street, across from Davidson Commons, just south of Jetton Circle. The proposed mixed-use development includes approximately 164 apartment units and approximately 5,000 square feet of retail space.

Residential Development Proposed by the Stewart Group
The Stewart Group has announced its intention to develop the Kimbourgh/Pine property at the end of Pine Road, currently owned by the Stough Farms Family, LLC. The Board of Commissioners approved the master plan, named Davidson Hall, in 2007. The next step in the process is approval of a preliminary plat. Click here for more information.

The Planning Board will meet on Monday, April 28, 2014 in the Town Hall Board Room. Click here to view the agenda.

Design Review Board
The Design Review Board met on March 19, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Petitions from Davidson Retirement Residence and the Pickled Peach were approved. The next Design Review Board meeting will be held on April 16, 2014. Click here to view the agenda.
