The Town of Davidson is part of a robust regional economy located in North Mecklenburg County. The three neighboring towns of Cornelius, Huntersville, and Davidson comprise the Lake Norman region due to our proximity to the nine-mile-long lake.
Local Economic Support
Davidson, Cornelius, and Huntersville have formed regional partnerships that help attract business and events to our area. The Town of Davidson works with and helps fund the Lake Norman Regional Economic Development Corporation (LKNEDC) and Visit Lake Norman (VLN).
LKNEDC’s mission is to develop and implement an economic development strategy that results in an expanded tax base and improved quality of life for the region’s residents through the creation of new, highly skilled jobs.
VLN is Lake Norman’s Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. Its mission is to promote travel and tourism for the benefit of economic growth and development.
